Episol - raising growth capital (EUR 1.5 million)

Episol is the holding company of the French photovoltaic installation franchise "Soleil en tete". Its founder Eric Laborde, ex-CEO of Photowatt, mandated Mora Associates in 2009 to raise EUR 1.5 million of growth capital.

Mora Associates assisted the management team in updating the business plan and contacted more than 50 venture capital and private equity firms. The capital increase was closed in August 2010, involving a consortium of three investment funds.

The deal was reported in several specialised information websites.

Airfi - venture and growth capital investment fund (EUR 14 million)

AIRFI is a venture capital fund focused on Eastern France, Western Germany and Northern Switzerland. With EUR 13.7 million, it aims at investing in young companies in this region, mostly in the cleantech and life sciences industries.

Mora Associates has been advising AIRFI on investments in cleantech, alternative energy and electric mobility, since 2007.

Novae Energies - renewable energy power plant developer

Mora Associates manages the fund raising process for its affiliate company Novae Energies.

Novae Energies has developed photovoltaic parks in France and is currently developing a large wind park in Brazil (300 MW) as well as combined heat and power geothermal power plants in France.

Thermokin SA - early-stage venture capital (EUR 1.6 million)

Thermokin SA, a French cleantech start-up company, mandated Mora Associates in 2006 to raise the funding for the development of the Thermokinetic Compressor, a unique device designed to run on waste heat, with numerous applications in heavy industries and power generation.

Mora Associates invested time and effort with Thermokin's management team to review the business model and prepare a business plan, which was discussed with VCs in London, Paris and in Germany.

A leading French venture capital firm funded the first round, providing the company with the means to develop its demonstration machine over 2007-2010.

Consulting

Mora Associates has worked on various consulting assignments on behalf of utilities, project developers and investors.
